A new retreat

My new bedroom I love it I love it I love it!
Since this picture was taken I have also added some more and have painted the long black mirror white, I done this with gloss paint from B&M stores. Saved myself alot of money by doing things that way, resuing things I already had or buying from cheap furniture stores. The mirror itself was from B&M about 8 months ago and I beleive it cost about £40.
This lovely little heart decorative that reads "There is no set path, Just follow your heart" was a gift so I'm not sure where its from. The amazing pin board is a Shabby Chick number from eBay it cost under £20.
As you can see I like to read my book shelf is overflowing, all held together by another Shabby Chick find; these wonderful AZ's, again from the eBay store and under £10.

I do love my shoes, clothes, Vogue and Elle collections, of course these have all grown since this snap was taken.
I love photographs with all our wonderful advances in technology I beleive the printed photograph should never be forgotten, all of these frames were from Debenhams. I must admit if I did not receive my staff discount I probably wouldn't shop here for homeware.

This little stool is one of my favourite ever eBay finds, at an amazing £30 I could not resist. The top is extra smooth on my tooshie as its velvet and it fits my french cottage theme perfectly.

I'm sorry I could not resist because she just looks so at home above is the super cute plant pot I bought from IKEA and have gave the job of bin in my bedroom and along side that is Baby Daisy Bell. The cutest most sweetest little Lhasa Apso in the whole of Scotland. Her little bow even matches my decor hehe!
Ahhh... a girls most important beauty item, her bed, as beauty sleep is so important obviously our beds must become places of beauty as well.

This is a very deceiving chest of drawers it looks ever so peaceful but do not be fooled within these drawers are masses of make up, hair and body products, skin care and nail varnishes. Look out for future post where I will delve into the depths of my beauty drawers! Below is the picture of my room before I think we can agree it is a million times better now.

Aqua By Aqua Sale

Aqua By Aqua Sale

Aqua BY Aqua are having a sale and my goodness its a good one! I love everything about this brand except the price label. but their latest reduction bring it more into a student price range. I have picked some of my favourite key pieces (shown above). I still cannot decide which of these to invest in, if you could pick one which would it be?

Ebay My Favourte Destination

Hello friends, I must apologize to you all for disappearing of the face of the earth for over a month. I am very notty girl, I have been very busy doing exams, starting my fourth year at uni and well socializing with uni friends who I have missed dearly over the summer.

So recently I haven't been spending as much money I would wish on fashion as I have became fascinated with reading. I have been buying books from all over the place; eBay, Amazon, Tesco, Asda but I have discovered the bestest place to buy books in bundles. The Book People is a UK website that has some amazing deals on and I have taken advantage of a lot of them. My book shelve is almost falling down and its only a few months old.
So less about books and more about fashion, recently I have become totally addicted to eBay, and my sniper app. I have been purchasing some real bargains that will act as my A/W 12/13 staple items. Below is a board I have put together with a few of the items I recently invested in.

Ebay My Favourtite Destination
My favourite item, although it is hard to see in this picture is the Houndstooth Jacket, this is closely followed by the Toggi Chealsea style boots and the red bag (which reminds me of a doctors bag, I love that!). Fur is set to continue to be on trend this A/W along with a lot of fluffy knits and thick wool trench coats.
Also the skater skirt is making a massive impact already and I think its here to stay for a while. I love this emerald green velvet skirt but there are so many others that I also believe are a must have. For example, the leather skater is key, whether teamed with a shirt or a peice of knitwear, it is very on trend. Instead of black I have chose this tan Oasis skirt as its a little bit different. I also totally love this texture mini from Miss Selfridge.

I also recently bought myself this super cute blue shirt, it has sheer sections as well as the original material giving it a little originality. AND my favourite favourite favourite purchase is a little pair of black velvet shorts from ASOS.

I am going to team these with a light coloured piece of knitwear, a large statement cross necklace, a thick pair of opaque tights and a pair of statement winter boots. Also girls an accessory that I am loving the idea of right now and cant wait for mine to arrive is these gold anklets. Great for finishing an outfit and putting a fashion forward foot first.

A designer to watch...

Above is a shot from Esteban Cortazar's latest collection, I love these pieces. Exclusive to Net-A-Porter, they are all absolutely, individually stunning. My favorite has to be the Cady Jumpsuit (on the left) but priced at a mere £750 I will have to continue to dream... for now!

Below I have put together a little mood board with a few more of my favorite pieces from Esteban's latest collection.

Something I found very interesting to read whilst trying to discover some more about this wonderful man, was a little story from a couple of year back about a certain celeb he clearly dislikes. It is said that Cortázar was appointed Head Designer at Emanuel Ungaro where he worked until he was fired in 2009, after refusing to work with Lindsay Lohan when she was appointed Artistic Director. It seems to have been the right move for the designer judging by his latest works of art.
