That is a crazy amount of products and I can tell you there is a separate drawer in the bathroom filled with even more body and face cleansers and moisturizers, also missing perfume it too has its own little special place away from this craziness. So I thought I would give you an insight in my beauty regime and the products I love at the moment. This will take the form of 3 parts firstly I will tell you all about my hair and body must have products then I will look at a post concerning skincare and one completely devoted to my favourite makeup products!
So lets begin by checking out whats keeping my hair and body happy at the moment...
- Tresemme Salon Finish Freeze-hold Hairspray £2.69
This hairspray is fab fab fab I never buy anything else as it does the job and more. Not only does it hold my hair in place but it does not make the hair sticky or hard looking and it brushes out of the hair easily as well.
- Batiste XXL Volume Dry Shampoo £3.99
At the moment I would not survive without this product, I have a weave in so washing my full head of hair can take hours to rince and dry. But with this little amazing spray my hair is washed and volumised in 30 seconds. I do prefer the XXL Volume edition as it does volumise my otherwise fine hair. My only complaint it can feel very very sticky in the hair I have heard some say like chewing gum, but I love this product wouldn't go without it!
- KZ Hair Hydrating Cream £10
Although this is a brand many of you may not have heard of as it belong to the salon where I get my hair done, it is worth a drive for I think. I like to use the hydrating cream as a conditioning mask, I leave it on for around 10 minutes while in the bath then when I wash it off my hair is visibly smoother and softer. it has also taken away the brittle feel my hair had due to heat damage.
- Avon Advanced Techniques Moroccan Argan Oil £3.50
Avon's Argan Oil has kept my new hair (the weave) not going dry and frizzy at the ends like so many extensions do from heat damage. This wonderful little potion has kept them looking shiny and feeling soft and is super easy to use. A simple squirt into the fingertips and a run of the hands through the ends of the hair and wahla hair is migically not frizzy anymore.
- Skin so Soft Dual Oil Spray £4.50
I do love Avon's Skin So Soft products their original dry oil spray is renowned for being fabulous. A few weeks back I was speaking to a customer of mines about the brand and she was telling me about her daughter in Australia who had been asked to sell her half empty bottle for $20, as it is so amazing at deterring mosquito's. Luckily in Scotland we not have any big ugly bugs to worry about we get to enjoy these products purely for our satisfaction. I use this oil every night before bed on my neck and chest area. The reason being I love oils I use them on my face and hair so why not my body too. I was beginning to worry about getting a wrinkly crepe chest when I was older so decided to take some action by protecting the area with some beautiful oil.
- Planet Spa Turkish Thermal Baths Black Soap £5.50
Girls if you only buy one thing the rest of the year let it be this amazing black soap, this product is like putting a clay mask all over your body. Afterwards your body feels smooth and cleaned to the very core. I put the product all over and sit reading on the edge of the bath for around 10 minutes before cleansing off. It is wonderful like creating your own spa experience at home, the product claims t remove impurities and I beleive it.
- St Tropez Everyday Body Moisturiser full size £14.30
I recieved thei 75ml sample with me Elle magazine a few months back and hadnt used it until last week and I love! The oriduct is so easy to apply, at first I was worried I would wake in the morning with terrible fake tan hands, as you use your bare hands to apply, but all was well the excess product on my hands had washed off easily unlike so many other tans. I am very fair but used the medium to dark as that is what I was sent and the colour was great just enough so I looked a bit more alive but not so much that it was obvious I was wearing tan. I will definately be investing in the full sized bottle and I noticed this morning that with any piurchase on the ST Tropez website you are getting a free sample of this product. Fabulous!
- Vita Liberata 24ct Silken Shimmer wash off body tint £17.50
This prioduct is sold in Debenhams the reason I decided to try the brand out was a friend had told me she was using it and loved it and at the time they had left over Christmas sets that were reduced to something crazy like £11 and contained the wash off tint, the over night developing tan, a mitt and a bag. Well that was me hooked no more fake bake and scrubbing my body with a flannel and washing powder to get it off on the thrird day as it had gone patchy. No more orange hands and smells lingering for 2 days ever after washing. This tan has fixed all of those problems that us girls just put up with before. Vita Liberata's CEO state on their website;
"Our tans are all packed with natural extracts such as ylang ylang,
seaweed, pomegranate and grape, which means no nasty biscuit smell and
therefore guarantees a pleasant tanning experience! The tans now also
include the nourishing moisture complex system to ensure an easy, streak
free application and a natural fade."
I agree with all of this and am pleased to also learn today that the product are produced in Britain. Definitely give this tan a bash girls you will not go back to your current brand I promise. If you go to their website they have some great Christmas sets already available I particularly like the look of this one.
This set is £50 and contains;
- 125ml bottle of pHenomenal Medium Mousse
- - 75ml bottle of Dry Oil Dew
- - Luxury Wash Bag
- - Tanning mitt
I would wait until a Christmas mega day in a big department store like Debenhams or House of Fraser then get a set like this with the money off discount.
