Hello friends,
Okay so I have to apologise for being the worst blogger ever over the past few months, I was completely bogged down with uni and it seems my last post was the 3rd of February (oh deary me).
Well good news, although it came at a price (no blogging, one stone in weight, a spotty face and some new wrinkles im sure) I done it! I have now got a
first class honours degree in Fashion Marketing. Yay me, it was of course very hard work and considering until the beginning of fourth year I was on track to acheive a second class degree it took all of my time, I mean ALL, I spent ever week day in the library from 8am till 9pm most days sometimes later and at weekends I worked 10-7 both Saturday and Sunday. I was a total losr you guys but its over with and now I'm a winner.... now all I have to do is find a job, but lets not get into that as I do not want to rant about how depressing that is!
So I finished uni just over one month ago now and what have I been doing apart from unsuccessfully finding a job and dieting, reading a lot, working away with my bebebabes (at Benefit duh) and drinking a LOT of red wine (bad Mandy!!!!).
Also I had my grad ball a few weeks ago which was such a good time, but what a palava trying to find a dress, anyone else who studies fashion will understand the pressures of having an amazing dress when you are going to an event where everyone else studies fashion too!! I ended up going with something very simple (and borrowed from my boyfriends Mum) as the dress i really wanted from BCBG Maxazria was a tad too expensive for a one time affair. I made that mistake back in February when attending a Benefit event called Glamoriety; it was thrown by the directors Iain and Gail just for us staff as a reward for all our hard work, it was a fabulous night there were comedian, flamingo dancers, food, and
open bar, a band and lots and lots of laughter. I'll pop some pics in at the end of this post. So back to grad ball, I wore a beautifully simple floor length black dress which had a slit up each side (from Zara ofcourse). I paired it with a par of black Zara peep toes, a balck patent YSL (now Saint Laurent, shock!!!) clutch and an amazeballs statement necklace I bought on Etsy a few months back.
I'm sorry this picture quality isn't fab I will upload the professional pictures once I have them and then you can all have a nosey at my friends outfits as well. I was originally going to wear a much different outfit but changed my mind at the very last minute, that is it below the dress is from Phase Eight and the shoes are Faith, please ignore the mess of my sisters bedroom people.
Also my sister is genius look at the way she done my hair for the ball, she actually studies graphic design believe it or not but is fab with hair.
Heres a close up the Etsy necklace I wore and another that I couldn't rest buying and also wore on a little night out for my Birthday a few weeks ago.
Here is Vari and me before we headed out for my bday, I wore the necklace from Etsy with a lime top from Mango, a white skirt from Topshop (a present from my sister) and a pair of rose gold pointed Topshop heels.
I was very spoiled on my birthday this year even though I am getting old now (24 ahhh) I'll only show you my very favourite presents, my lovely Mummy bought me a beautiful pink Jack French bag. Its beutiful inside is purple felt, i love it!
And my boyfriend let me pick a lovely little bracelet from Fossil, he originally forked out a fortune for a beautiful neck but I'm pretty fussy so it was returned I'm afraid along with about 8 other gifts (cheeky face).
Let me show you the outfit I wore to Glamouriety, I got myself a beautiful Alice & Olivia skirt, paired with a very revealing top from Aqua couture it was perfect.
As you can see Claire and I really enjoyed the free bar, I have much more to say but I don't want to go on and on, plus we have all summer to be reaquainted so look out for more posts.
Thanks for reading,
Much love, M xxx
